We Are Hiring!

We are hiring our first part-time employee and are looking for someone who has the skills and attitude listed and wants to help build the farm processes. 

Currently, we are growing for the Worthington Farmer's Market every Saturday and are looking to expand into a CSA for the 2026 season.

Hours: 15-20 hours a week. Thursday and Friday from 8-1pm, One other day (negotiable), Occasional Saturday mornings at the Worthington Farmer's Market.

Pay: $15-$18 depending on experience

Employment Timeframe: May-September

Duties include:

  • Seeding, transplanting and cultivating crops

  • Bed preparation, weeding, broad forking, irrigation and applying amendments such as compost

  • Harvesting, washing and packing produce

  • Farm upkeep, maintenance and improvement

  • Maintaining high standards with regard to produce quality

  • Adhering to Food Safety guidelines including appropriate sanitization of all applicable equipment

  • Ability to work effectively and maintain deadlines with limited supervision

  • Critical thinking and decision making skills; able to make effective decisions under uncertain/variable conditions

  • Strong work ethic with history of good attendance

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance

  • Must be able to perform physical work in a variety of positions and at various heights including bending, stooping, reaching and twisting of arms and body movement

  • Enjoy (or at least tolerate with a positive attitude) working in a variety of temperatures & environmental conditions

 - Love growing things and is okay with getting nerdy about soil science and plant biology

 - Cares about sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices

 - Can maintain an energetic disposition with a good sense of humor and a element of curiosity
- Effective time and task management strategies
- Takes pride in their work, and finds fulfillment in meeting high standards for great quality
- Owns clothing and footwear appropriate for varying weather conditions and farm tasks
- Finds value in developing and participating in efficient work systems
- Gracefully receives and implements corrective feedback
- Contributes to a collaborative work environment and our commitment that all individuals feel           safe, appreciated, and respected
